Friday movie treat

Went to see the movie Breaking Dawn part 1. Not really a Tony movie, so figured treat myself during the day. And if Tony wants to see it with me, then I can always see it again! ;). Excellent movie. They changed the beginning a bit and can't see why. Otherwise it was pretty true to the book for a movie.
Bit of supper.. Leftover chili, with fruit and some cheese nips. Boo is napping beside me and Tony is off for the weekend.

Scrambled eggs on cheese bun, orange, and a bit of chocolate milk for breakfast. Trying to eat better.
Tony had to leave at like 11pm last night. First night home to sleep and can't even make it a night. Sigh... Should be home tonight to sleep same for the next night. He needs his rest.....
Bit of a rainy day. Dog napping on couch with me, about to shower and do laundry, then groceries.
Good food shopping done on this rainy day. Miss Whitey is very lovey, rub rub rub. Meow!
Quiet rainy day. Boo had good walks and now napping. Just having a quiet night at home waiting for the man to come home, I hope.

Tuesday night

Hockey almost ready to start, away game so on TV. Nice supper of chili, croissants, and a bit of ice cream for dessert. Good afternoon nap for Irene, and Boo and even got laundry done too. Good first full day back.

Shoot. you know holidays and relaxing are over when you get a call at 11pm and fire chief has to go to the fire station. Sigh......

Went to bed last night at like 6pm. Very tired, fed myself, took care of the dog, had a headache... time for bed! Much better now. Boo had a good walk and is doing well at marking the neighborhood. :)

Homeward bound

Up and getting ready to head home. Sad to leave the sun and family. Boo and Whitey bound is good.
Home. Unpacked. Cat happy. Go get Mr. Boo soon.
Tony off to work. Boo is home. Went for a walk by the vet boarding and Boo saw a deer! Pretty cool! Now home and walked and all #1 and #2 outed. Cat not impressed that the dog came back. MEOW! Now to find food and go grocery shopping later. Home good.

Day Nine

Tony slept through the night pretty well and the Gatorade and Aleve stayed down. Now just taking it slow, but he feels pretty weak. May just hang out here for the morning and miss the last half day of the conference. Take it easy day. And tomorrow airplane and home and BOO!
Excellent trip so far!
Good breakfast of bananas with honey and cinnamon, quiche and more fruit and sausage. Yummy!
Nice quiet day for the last one. Tony is still feeling weak and icky, we spent the morning at the B & B, then headed over to Ma's for a bit of lunch and a nap. Supper at Cracker Barrel. And now all packed and ready to head back early in the morning. Boo we home tomorrow. Love you! See you soon Whitey cat.

Think all of the pictures from the Big Cat Rescue are up now. I'll try to figure out how is who later if I can. Breakfast was oranges in yogurt, waffles with blueberries and bananas, and sausage. Yummy! Now relax then shopping later.
Shopping done and had a nice lunch of Thai food court chicken and rice. Smoothie of chocolate piña colada was a nice ending. Hang out with Ma and Kelli. Tony texted and was not feeling well. So Tony up in bed sleeping,me now back with some Gatorade and Aleve if he needs it. Me a nice quiet night and if he needs me I am here. Kelli has the Rib Fest tickets, Tony will miss STYX and ribs, and I don't really know STYX and not a big fan of fighting the beer drinking crowds for food. Quiet night fine. Wine tasting slowly ending and guests are hanging.

Good morning. Quiet day of perhaps shopping later with Ma and Kelli. Tony has his conference all day. And then RibFest in the evening. STYX is there! And good food. Irene hungry!

Day Seven

It was raining last night and the temperature boy did it drop! It is cold out there. Not a short wearing weather today. Tony off for the day at the Fire Chief conference. Today weather and warmth permitting, we may head out to Big Cat Rescue. Soon breakfast for me.
Pears, French toast, kiwi, peaches, and grapes. Yummy breakfast. Now nap.
Nce morning for napping;). Then off to Ma's and we headed to Big Cat Rescue, about 45minutes away in Tampa. Found it pretty good. Was so very cool! Lots of cats to be seen, tigers and cerbels, lions, jaguar...pics tomorrow. The occasional roar was heard and the cats were talking. Feeding time was coming soon, so they came to the front and were looking for food. One got some medicine and watching the, pounce on the food was neat. One was even playing with a hanging tire swing, batting it and grabbing on to it. TOO COOL!. One hour and a half walking tour, but it was not too bad. Mom and Kelli got a golf cart, so they did okay too.
Then back home and we went to see the movie J Edgar. We liked it, the Florida half did not. Sigh. Now to bed we go. Night!

Day Six

Early wake up, Tony starts his conference today. Breakfast was oranges with yogurt, then eggs and fruit. Just me and Bill, the owner. Now doing a load of laundry, Thank you Bill! The machines are right next to our room, so made a load, and do it all in cold. Do that, shower and then head out to the beach for a bit. Call Kelly a bit later :)
Laundry done. Beach time!
Had a good walk up the beach and then back on the street. Kelli and Eddie and I went to Tony at the conference and had lunch with him at Frenchie's. I had to die for coconut shrimp. So good and big and just shrimp and coconut... Yummy! Tony back to the conference and I was brought to a surprise location... Whiich I guessed on the way. Wild Bird Santuary. Very cool. Lots of neat birds! Then we headed to John's Pass, and did the tourist beachy thing. Got a magnet for Boo for the car ;). Then back to Ma's place to hang out till supper.
Supper with Mom, Kelli, Eddie, his son EJ, at Crabby Bill's. Excellent seafood spread, good chicken smothered in cheese, bacon and onions, and even got a nice picture taken. Good day. :). Now night night.

Day Five

Got home after midnight, so tired sleepy we are. We are the only guests at the B & B today so we got an early breakfast. Pears, then pancakes with fruit and sausage. Now vegging, which will be the day. Trying to post Tony's pics from his camera from Facebook, but not working.
Quiet day at the B & B. Then out to dinner at Carrabas with Kelli, Ma, Aunt Jo and Uncle Ed. Minestrone soup and manicotti. Chocolate bread pudding with ice cream for supper. Yummy! Tomorrow Tony starts his conference and I will probably hang with Kelli or wander on the beach. :)

Day Four

Morning. Today is Disney Day and an evening with Tony's friend Lenny. :)
Excellent day. I guess it is now tomorrow, but we are just settling in. Night.
Okay it is morning now and we are up and got some sleep.
We headed out to Orlando about 9:30am or so. Good drive. Then found Lenny HI Lenny! And talked for a little bit. Good to met you! Then off to Disney Hollywood Studios. Tony, Kelli and her boyfriend Eddie headed for rides.... Tower of Terror and then Rock'n'Roll. I amused myself and wandered while they rode. I am not a big roller coaster person. They caame off and we wandered. Went to see a Beauty and the Beast show which was nice :). breakfast! Yummy!
Did the Backlot Tour which was cool. Saw the ship from the movie Flight of the Navigator! Late afternoon we headed to Epcot and the rest did the rocket simulator ride. And the space ride through the Epcot ball. Wandered through the Countries, had supper in Japan after sampling a few countries. Then we were pooped and headed home. Good day and will try to bring the pics in here if I can. IPAD and the touch screen and all.
We rented a yellow Mustang convertible at the airport for our trip. We were in the parking lot of Disney Hollywood Studios and as we pulled over, looked to our left and there was ANOTHER yellow Mustang convertible! To our right came a yellow truck! So we were the yellow zone. Weird, eh? When we left we saw the yellow convertible people leaving too! We just had to take a picture!

Day Three in sunny Florida

Good night sleep, now waking up. Another quiet day of vacation, day at the beach and resting. Tomorrow Disney?
Breakfast of bananas dribbled with honey and nuts. Waffles with strawberries and bananas. Very yummy. Now relax and have quiet beach day.
Beach good. Nap time. Then went to get a snack. Snack done, reading. Relax good. ;)
Supper at PJ Oyster Bar. Tony stone crab, me coconut shrimp. Yummy. Nice time with mom and sister and sister boyfriend. Now soon bedtime. Tomorrow Disney and supper with Lenny, Tony's friend who works there.

Day 2 Florida

Very nice night of sleep in our nice little charming room. Wake up to the sun creeping in, and remembered to fall back, though the tablets and phones do it automatically. Now relaxing with coffee and orange juice and the B & B owner, I think we are the only ones up. Beachy day today for us and the fam.
Breakfast was yummy. Baked grapefruit, baked French toast with nuts on top, wonderful sausage, fruit. Very good. Now just relaxing, reading, computing, vacationing.
Spent a bit of time on the beach. The water is freezing! Then out for a bit of lunch with nice shrimp and too hot wings, mild they were not and huge fries. Now Tony watching football and entering veg mode. Yeah holiday!
Nap time for a bit this afternoon, then the evening wine tasting at 5:30pm. Tony and sagria, me and mango peach juice. Tasted a bit of sangria... yuck! Seafood spread and crackers and a bit of conversation. One other couple staying here from Germany, three other couples left this morning. Now just relaxing for the evening, not hungry enough for supper. Football on so Tony happy. I am reading a Janette Oke book on my Kindle app on the IPad.

Florida Day 1

Resting at the Laughing Lizard B & B in Florida.
Flight went fine. Lines beforehand were bad, but we made it. Heading to my mother-in-laws place and got some food. Then hanged out, went to the Lizard to unpack and rest.
The B & B has wine tasting at 5:30pm so after a quick nap we went down for a bit of socializing and Tony had sangria and me some mango juice. Hanged out for a bit then out to a Taste food thing at a park with Ma and Kelli. CROWDED! Had some good samples of food and some excellent toasted coconut ice cream. Now back at the Crimson Cameleon room at the B & B for a good night rest.

Vacation tomorrow

Heading to Florida in the morning!! Tony has a fire chief conference next week, and we are leaving a bit early to spend time with his family. Boo is at boarding after having a morning bath and the cat is being sat and the house watched well.
My knee is better. Took Aleve and rested, heating pad in use and ice packs too. Got sore again, but not as bad.
My parents are in their new duplex house. :) Pics soon I hope.
Packing almost all done, and last day stuff done.

OUCH KNEE

Went to a wedding on Saturday for a firefighter friend and had a good time. Noticed during the reception dinner that my leg was kinda stiff. Next day worse. Cannot bend knee and behind kne is sore and stiff. Went to the doctor yesterday.
Hamstring tendon tear and possible Baker's cyst... Is what they think I have. Start with Aleve and see how it goes, plus cold packs. Found a friend to walk Boo at 5. After going to the wrong building and walking a bit, I am pooped and sore. Perhaps the milkshake will help.
Walking Boo the dog is a challenge. Yesterday found tow of Boo's friends while walking in the morning and they had a great play session. And in the evening had a mom friend and how many kids...3-4 walk him in the evening. He just needs a good long walk to get his energy up out and I am up for only short ones. I made it up the hilly street and back down again this morning. See how the day goes. Me and my Aleve and ice and letting the dog go free in the fenced in yard.
Let's see how my day went, shall we? Figured change the bed and do some laundry. Does not seem too bad. Yet! The laundry machines was draining I think and suddenly the toilet was bubbly. Toilet overflowing, bathtub filling. AGGGH! Called our regular guy, not available till tomorrow. Called the man and hubbie says call around. So I did. Abe's Plumbing. Was there in 30 minutes. For $350, went up on the roof and snaked the drain so would not have to take toilet apart. Lots of snaking. Fixed pretty quick,stupid tree root. Just did a load in the washer and let me limp along and check......dry floor. Yippee. Bathroom cleaned up, towels on floor to absorb water. Friends' kids walked dog, so so far okay. Tired Irene.

Boo and Hurricane Me

Boo and I went for our morning walk. Normal. We met a dog that we have sniffed briefly before. We sniffed and I think after a second sniff, they had a brief quarrel. Not awful but. We both sat them down and then went on our way. Then the other dog owner called me back, the dog's ear was bleeding. Shoot. Exchanged info and home we went and the other dog went to emergency vet. Too early for normal vet. Couple calls later, Mr. Boo will need a work program to help pay off the vet bill. The other dog may lose part of the ear. Sigh, this and the hurricane coming. Me hunkering down and if need be me and Boo head to the fire station. Have gas in car, enough groceries in house. Lights and batteries too.

Toy for Tony

Yup another vehicle for the Schloss family. Tony has the Subaru, which he does not use that often. But it is a Family Car!! I have the Honda Fit. My first car :) Tony has the Harley motorcycle, which he uses when the weather agrees, which has been lately. Unofficially he has the use of a fire vehicle. And now the Jeep, but there is a good story. Five houses down there lives a couple with three dogs. They have many cars too. The Jeep, wife car. And the use of a work van. Then hubbie got a sports car. Then a wagon for a better family car. And then a truck. So now the sports car and the Jeep had to go. I knew Tony had been looking at Jeeps so mentioned it to him. The price was half of what the Blue Book said it was worth. Needs work, but good overall. So now after getting paperwork taken care of at DMV Select, the Jeep is now with Tony at the firestation-work for the weekend. It is 2000, the Subaru Outback is 2002, so eventually he would like to replace it with a better Family Car. Jeep Tony toy, which is okay with me. I'll just have to figure out an Irene toy ;) LOL, nah. T works hard.

Quiet past two days, felt a bit under the weather. Got the rooms of the day done, vacuuming, but no attic stuff. Try tomorrow. Have the husband home, which is nice. He even has a new toy, a tablet computer, not the IPAD, but a nice other brand. Seems to like it.

Day 19 of the POD packing. Up to Box 76. The attic is slowing being tamed.... slowly. Still have a huge pile of wires and cables for Tony to help me sort one day. Tomorrow the back corner.
Today finally the plants got planted! Yeah! It also rained a bit and cooled off a bit too. Watered the plants a bit now that they have to make roots and establish themselves. Pics later :) It looks good!

Friday, Tony was home for a bit, then off till Tuesday he went. I got my house stuff done. Today Boo woke up early so early we walked in the cool. This weather is awful humid, though was a bit better this morning. Got some boxes out of the attic to the POD. In this afternoon decided to tame the office, in short paperwork and filing. Took awhile, but now all done. Bit more organizing in the file cabinet needed but worlds better :) Soon dishes and sweep floor then done for the weekend.

Day 15. 62 boxes so far, plus furniture and such. The smaller Public Storage unit is all emptied out, one trip by me, and one big trip with Tony B. and me. THANKS Tony!! Today did the kitchen and checked through the storage unit boxes and re-packed a bit. smaller boxes, not as heavy, and some of my books went to the liberry as donations. Keep the really good ones, and there are still plenty. Old high school yearbooks, magazines from 9-11, pictures albums from SWIM and SOW, my sister's wedding, my nephew, and more. Stephen King books, some excellent Irene fiction books, very cool.

After a trip to Home Depot, better ready to water the yard and plants. Then Red Robin for a nice lunch and have leftovers too. Root beer floats with refills meant I got to take one home :)

Now home and taming laundry from the hot weekend work and such. Tomorrow Tony comes home for the evening and night. Perhaps taco casserole? Too hot outside for BBQ.

Plant shopping with Penny

We went for a walk and found friends working on a car. Boo was invited in and made himself quite comfy.

Gardening and moving stuff

My yard people came and roto-tilled the gardens.

We spent the late morning emptying out the storage unit of two chairs, daybed, footstool, and boxes full of books, I think.

POD unit after Tony, the other Tony, put the furniture in and moved stuff around. Thank you Tony! Now we are just paying for the POD, not the POD and smaller storage unit. And tomorrow plant shopping with Penny.

China packing

Bathroom, rain and a bit of attic

Today was the bathroom and since I had Tony home, started a bit late, but the bathroom is not that hard. Went up to the attic and got out some stuff. Ended up packing one box full of books for the POD, and put some stuff aside for Tony to check. One big space up there is clearing :) Then clean up, walk the dog and do the bathroom. Meanwhile my two garden patches are being cleared along with the path along the side of the house. Soon rototill, add soil, then go plant shopping with Penny on Sunday :) She knows plants and her house across the street looks good!

Got a bit of a thunderstorm! Boo not happy. Mail came and I worked a bit on a project. Went for a quick drive and got stuck in rush hour. Now waiting for floors to dry, laundry whites to dry, and take out the garbage. Then done till the man comes home late to sleep.

Living room

Today is the living room. Packed up the guitars, slid a box away to the other boxes in the computer room that I need Tony help with. Spent time in the attic, and got some stuff out. Wedding dress too :) Packed a bit into the POD, not really picture worthy. Re-arranged the living room a bit and vacuumed. Now done, except perhaps some wiping and window cleaning in there. Me clean up and walk the dog, have lunch and make supper in the slow cooker. Too hot outside and the slow cooker is so nice that way. No heat but good smells.

Day 10 of packing the POD. One kitchen box.... fragile :) And some taming of the attic, a bit every day. Found letters from Winnipeg, when Tony and I were courting ;) and some camping stuff.

Trader Joe's and Bob ice cream

Boxes up to 48. Worked on the attic today and got a good amount done.
Weekend is here. Worked on getting stuff out of the attic, sorted and into the POD. Did good today, up to Box 48 and Tony's CPR buddies. Slowly tame the attic, it will take a while!

Went to Moe's for lunch, and found a new Bob's Furniture Store there. They have some nice stuff! But mostly went to look and see the Bob's Cafe. Ice cream and cookies and candy and coffee and juice for free, leave a donation for schools if you want.

I had two small scoops of chocolate ice cream and some lemonade! Yummy! Then lunch at Moe's and shopping at Trader Joe's. Now a quiet afternoon at home with the "kids".

Computer room

Tony headed out this morning for his long weekend at work - fire station. And this is what I did this morning. Took out our big computer table, moved the desk around, and Yes VERY slowly and carefully moved the computer stuff too. Still needs work the room does, but today was a good one. Later on, did a bit more organizing. Sorting the mess of a bookshelf into a more organized mess. Took out the corner table, will put the boxes of winter stuff into the POD tomorrow and now there is a freer corner with just motorcycle stuff. Still more work, but looks so much better!

POD 7

POD Day 7. Only four boxes, but one was plates from the china cabinet. Plus the Verizon guy was coming, and the gate was fixed. Boo had a visitor too, Brownie the chihuahua came to play. They had a good run!
New box for the girl MEOW!

Got the room of the day cleaned and packed four boxes, one full of plates from the china cabinet. My hands were black from the newsprint packing process.

Verizon came and replaced the router, and all is back up!

Fence gate is all fixed. Tony and the TIVO help line guy helped fix the TV and we are all online. Nice evening of Tony BBQ chicken and me making it into a salad. Nice quiet evening at home.

POD Day 6
Dog crate now in living room. There used to be a table and cabinet and CD rack.

Kitchen corner. Dog crate and half a table was there. Now just full out table.
Corner where the kitchen buffet cabinet was.

Got all this done.... and then the Verizon FIOS went out... Sigh. No computer, no Internet, except by phone, no TV. So we went out for a nice date night, saw Super 8 and a quick supper.

Day of Tony

Tony came home early and we had lunch together, nice nap, and a good night.

Yesterday was the living room day. I packed up almost all the CDs and movies and put them in the POD along with their furniture. Then a bit later headed to our Public Storage Unit and loaded up with boxes. Will sort through them today. One more trip of boxes there and then a couple loads of furniture.

I have a dog under the computer table, hiding by my feet. My foot is warm and it will be a long night of scared dog with fireworks....Sigh.

Got work done in the kitchen today. Nice and clean and four boxed in the POD!! Otherwise quiet holiday day, with humidity outside. Day 4 of POD loading. Not bad.

After a good night's sleep, got all over yesterday's traffic woes. Boo was up nice and early so got an early start... silly dog. Organized the linen closet, the bottom of the computer office closet and the bottom of the bedroom closet. Got some more stuff into the POD, and some bags ready for the HART ( where I got Boo, animal rescue group ) rummage sale, and worked on another project. Vacuumed, showered, walked the dog, doing laundry, did dishes, ran errands, napped.... Good day. Later do the floors and then Sunday REST! And enjoy my pretty house flowers.

Cleaned up yard

Okay. I am home. I am good. The dog is home and hopefully still clean.
Had a nice morning at home with the hubbie. Bacon and egg breakfast with feta cheese. Got the laundry done and did a bit of cleaning, and two boxes packed.
Tony was taking the motorcycle to the station so I had to head out there to bring his bag of clothes for the weekend. And Boo had a bath appointment. So 12:30 left the house with dog. Dropped Boo off and headed to the station. Yuck to traffic! Stuck on the FASTer route to the station for seems like an hour. There was an another lane but not open to 2pm. Not that that stopped a lot of people and made it worse when we had to wait for them to merge back in. When 2 hit I switched over and was almost out of there. Finally my exit came and it was so much better. Stopped for gas, cranked the AC and headed to the station.
Dropped the bag off and then then Tony needed to find something, so relaxed for a little bit. Headed back to get the dog, was waiting for the call to come pick him up while I was on the road....

Left the station and there was back up to the station almost. Traffic SUCKS! Once hit Route 50 not too awful, much better than on the way there. Though hit Fairfax city and at a traffic light the guy in the car next to me said to check my tires, one looks low. So as soon as I found a place I went in and had them check it. All good and was on the road again. Got the Boo dog and he was ready to go,though his teeth were not. Quick toothbrushing and we were out of there and home. 5pm and I an done.
The backyard was cleared, had neighborhood lawn people working on it yesterday and today. Looks so much better, bigger and bare. But good. Pics when have more energy and cleaned up. No before pics as far as I know. Okay back to vegetative state.

Taming the jungle

Had the man for the morning. :). Then later the bedroom, change the bed,clean the floor, all that good stuff. Packed up some clothes bins and shoes, up to 15 or 16 boxes of various sizes in the POD. Then cleaned up, did some errands, and walked the dog. Came home and arranged for the back yard to be tamed for a decent price. It is a dog-loving jungle back there and the fence separating our yard from the school is somewhere back there. Figured clean it up so you can see how nice and big the space is there. And make it less jungle like. They started today and it looks so much better... Finish up tomorrow. Now need to see if grass can grow. Tony came home as I was heading out with Brownie the chihuahua's family to get him better food. Tony had a beer while I was gone so he was good. Then once I was back, we went out for Italian date night. Yummy!

Today was a quiet hot day. Boo's pad is doing fine and he is taking his medicine with a spoonful of peanut butter! Today was the living room, got that done. Then the afternoon was waiting for the POD to come. A storage container about the size of a small garage. The delivery guy got it in the driveway just fine but got the fence on the way out. He fixed it for the Boo dog, who is happy to have free range of the yard. Start filling it up tomorrow, one room at a time, one box at a time....
Tony comes home to sleep tonight and of course bring laundry ;)

Dog crazy evening

What an evening! First I ran into a neighbor who said a dog was running loose. I walked for a bit then grabbed a car and wandered. Then I found the neighbor Brent again and he had found another loose dog! A neighbor said he lived at one house and there in the yard was his buddy with the same tags and a loose corner fence area. A few calls later and we brought the dog to my yard and waited for the owner to come. Then other neighbors came by looking for Cathy, Lindy's mom for vet info. Their chihuahua Brownie was throwing up and they needed vet info. So eventually found Cathy too. Let Boo out for a bit after the other dog went home and hung with the neighbors for a bit. Not sure if the first dog was ever found and it is late.
Otherwise quiet day. Kitchen done, did some grocery shopping. Tomorrow the POD storage unit comes and in the evening Tony comes home!

Tony noticed this morning that Boo had a sore or abcess on one of his front paw pads. I looked and it was very tender. Ouch from the Boo. So quick call to the vet, leave the husband before he goes off till Tuesday night and off to the vet we went. The doc says Yup, cut his pad, probably on a rock or something. They cleaned him up, trimmed the boo boo and outfitted him with the cone. Poor dog. Headed out though my rear view was blocked by the cone! Tony was still home so got to see the goofy dog. He even tried to chase a squirrel! Now napping after taking pain pill and antibiotics. Poor goofy looking puppy!

Thursday and waiting up for the man to come home and eat. Thursday is the bedroom. Change the sheets, dust, vacuum and I cleaned up under the bed. Yeah! Next was a landscaper to beauty up the outside of the house for buyers. Some great ideas for Tony and I to think about. Later on Boo has some playtime with Cleo and later Lindy.

Monday. Monday is the kitchen. Got that done and cleaned up a couple cupboards too. Ran to Target to get shorts for Tony, and found out needed to make a laundry run to the station. So found shorts for Tony and for me for morning walks, and got some groceries. Home to walk the dog, and took a short nap. Then off to the fire station to drop off clothes and get laundry. On the way back had a nice wing and tot lunch and got meds for the dog. Home for laundry and some dog attention. Now vegging.

Day 6 Saturday. Weekends try to keep Saturday simple and Sunday free. Today was the hallway and if have energy and gumption the attic and outdoors. The hallway had some boxes that needed taking care of, and I did. Spent a bit of time organizing one section of the attic. Vacuum the house and clean up the vacuum. With the new vacuum pretty easy. Dump out the canister and wipe down it all. Got some laundry done and the dishes. Gave the dog a wipe down. Went for groceries and got some pretty flowers for the house. Now vegging.

Day 2 of Operation House Clean Up. Living Room is straightened up, stuff organized. Vacuumed what I could. Vacuum hose broke. Tony did some research as did I and tomorrow should come my new Hoover Wind Tunnel Pet bag less vacuum. Yeah!
Boo had some excellent evening time play with his new friend Cleo. She walked by with her owners and Boo let me know some dog was passing by. First Cleo ran and ran around the yard, her yard will soon get fenced. Then some stick chasing and chewing. Boo got some chasing and playing in, with also some rude male behavior. Now tired sleeping on floor.

Boo made a new friend. Cleo is a new puppy in the area, brown shepherd hound, girl and we met her from across the street yesterday. The meeting went well, Boo did great. Today Boo went to the door, a dog was walking by, and I was careful, then saw it was Cleo and it was gold. She came in to play for a bit, and then Miss Lindy came over. She was not too happy but after a bit came in and did okay with a bit of growling but everyone handled it well. Now hanging out with my girl. Meow!

Warm day. Went down to downtown Falls Church and explored the booths a bit. Found my favorite tied dyed place and spent a bit of time there. Wandered a bit more after that, saw a couple firefighters from FCVFD and say Hello! Discovered it was way too hot to hang around and wait for the parade, so headed home to the wonderful AC. What a day. Had a good quiet morning with the man. Walked the dog and then eventually headed out for the adventures of today. To the fire station to drop off Tony clothes. He was going to take Lucille, the motorcycle. Then off to Reston Pet Fiesta. Found a place to park in a garage. Remembered the garage name and street. Then off to explore. Lots of dogs, even a purple ferret. Checked out the HART booth, where we adopted Boo, and saw some puppies too. A bit of shopping was done, it was a good afternoon.
Back to the right! parking garage to get back home. Which is where the issues started...... Could not find the stupid car. Wandered and wandered.... Found one other lady who was doing the same. Finally left the building, stopped for a bit, retraced my steps... And found the car. Sigh.
Home I went with a stop at Burger 7 for burgers and a milkshake. Chocolate and yummy and made me feel much better. Home and now relaxing with the dog and soon go for a walk. Tony is off for the weekend on the motorcycle and the fire station.

Hockey is done for this house for the season. Capitals lost four in a row.....sigh.
Quiet evening at home. Baked BBQ chicken was yummy with a peanut butter chocolate ice cream ending. Watched a TiVo show about September 11 at the Pentagon. Then walked the dog who missed his supper time walk. Now collapsed on floor tired. Good dog.
Watched a Ceasar Milan show about a cat and a dog that did not get along... They went out and got a cat stroller and the couple walked the cat in the stroller and the dog together. I thought that was a good idea. Checked out the new Unleashed by Petco store and found a decent stroller. Bought the blue one, the pink was too much, even though we have a girl cat. Put the cat in briefly, she talked ALOT but spent a brief time outside before Boo had a little munchkin visit him. Living next to a school, Boo had lots of kid friends. Whitey did hang with the humans a bit more than normal for the rest of the evening, Tony even got a head wash. Meow!

Good busy and quiet day. Headed out to the fire station to bring busy Tony clothes for the weekend. Made a stop at the grocery store on the way to get some goodies for the firefighters. Muffins, cookies,croissants, bananas, and some nuts. Then off to Costco for some staples, plus some really good popcorn. Stop for lunch, and some car stuff. Then walk the dog, have a nap with said dog, and later more walkies. And we meet some doggie friends too. Now Boo sleeping and me watching the movie Running On Empty.

Away game last night for the Capitals. Tony was working late so I recorded it and watched it off and on. He came home and wanted to watch it from the start. It ended going into double overtime. I think he came to bed at 1am. So still sleeping....
Pulled pork sandwiches for supper and always a hockey game to watch. Charlie the little terrier came inside to say Hi to Tony and checked out his first cat, Whitey. Sniffing each other and then a bit of barking. Whitey went to hide, Charlie went after, and then we let the dog back out. :)
